WAVEN OF FERLING
The Master of Elibank, speaking at Woodford, said that Lord Morley would do his duty, undeterred by criticism. He would deal drastically with those who were exciting disloyalty while themselves keeping in the background. It was neces ay for the safety the Empire that these rebellious agitations and waves of feeling should not be permitted to attain maturity.
DHINGRA'S SENTENCE.
The Pancer's London correspondent wires that suggestion was made here after Dhingra's sentence, that penal servitude for life would probably serve
a more effective deterrent than hangng. While presenting the murderer's deification as a martyr, Mr W. T. Stead the press, advocating the writing Commutation, endorses this view and also speaks of the exercise of mercy. He argues that although Dhingra is pathologically sane his distorted viows are necessarily those of a deranged mind.

SEVENTH OF AUGUST MEETING."Justice" writes to the Bengales. The univerary of the birthday of Swadeshi Movement is drawing near. 14 time to discuss who should be prenent of that important gathering. There are indeed many distinguished persons who may adorn the presidential hair, but my humble suggestion is that mr most beloved Nationalist leador Babu Aurobinda Ghoses should be offered the presidential chair. We all know how
uch he has suffered and that sacrifice ho has made for us, but we in return have virtually done nothing for him,
We have not had a single opportunity to honour him and to express our sincerest feelings. The opportunity has now one and we must not remain idle. I hope everyone will concur with me and combine his influence to make it 4 stress and I have every reason to teleive that this my appeal to my coun trymen will not go in vain.
