This translation does not make clear what the robbers hold fast, and Geldner has to supply traveller' as also is done by Sāyana (pathika), Durga (adhvaga). and Skanda
Maheśvara (kaścit). 20. For parusåso, there is a variant reading puruşáso. But in that case
there is the difficulty about the accent since purusa is accented on the first syllable. Moreover puruşásaḥ, by the side of kaváyah, has
hardly anything significant to convey. 21. Thus in the TS and the AV ekavrt means "einfach" according to BR
(hence from V vst), but "einzig umgebend" according to Hertel (hence from Vvr).
