religious views and practices as Indian Jain and Budhists claim and almost historically show that above a score of their saintly leaders perambulated the Eastem world long perior to the 7th century B. C. We may reasonably believe that Jainism was very anciently preached by them from China to Kaspiana. It existed in Oxiana and north of the Himalaya 2000 years before Mahavira.
आज से ४५०० वर्ष पूर्व इन क्षेत्रों में जैन धर्म का अस्तित्व विद्यमान था ।
• Prof. Yuri Zadneprovsky of the Leningrd Institute of Archaelogy said at a press confeuence at New Delhi on June 20, 1967 that there had been contacts between India and Central Asia for about 100000 years “from as early as the stone age.” and naturally traces of Jainism were there. South Uzbekistan के Termiz में Kara Tepe में ध्यान मुद्र में जैन मूर्ति कमल के फूल के ऊपर प्रतिष्ठित है ।
Mr. J. A. Dubai, the author of “The Description of Character Manners and Customs of the People of India and English by the East India Company in 1817 from French, writer in the preface :
“There was a time when Jainism flourished right from the Caspian Sea to the Bay of Kamachatka. Not only this, its followers could be found in Europe or even Africa.
• आज चीन का नाम बौद्ध धर्म से जुड़ा हुआ लगता है लेकिन बौद्ध धर्म चीन में लगभग दूसरी शताब्दी से प्रारम्भ हुआ था । उससे पूर्व वहाँ पर Confusious धर्म तथा उससे पूर्व Lao जिसे आत्मधर्म भी कहते है प्रचलित था । जिन, श्रमण तथा व्रात्य परम्परा के साथ Lao धर्म की परम्परा जुड़ी हुई है। जिन, श्रमण व्रात्य आदि नाम हमे यहाँ मिलते हैं जो इस क्षेत्र को सीधेसीधे तीर्थंकरों से जोड़ते हैं । जैन मान्यतानुसार तीर्थंकरों को जिन और बुद्ध दोनों ही कहा जाता है। उसी प्रकार बौद्ध धर्म में बुद्धों को जिन कहा गया है । चीन में आज भी तीर्थंकरों को बुद्ध कहने की परम्परा देखी जा सकती है। जापानी
