- 1875-76. Size.- 7 in. by 5 in. Extent.— 25 leaves ; 16 lines to a page ; 17 letters to a line. Description.- Country paper ; old and thin ; Sarada characters;
hand-writing, small, clear and legible. Age.-- The Ms appears to be very old. Author.- Sobhākara (?) Yasaskara. Begins.
ॐ श्रीशंकरो जयतु ॥ॐ नमो कुमु(त्तसु) तृतीयमुखाय ॥ ॐ रत्नाकरोन्यंतरतो गृहीत्वालंकारसूत्राणि यथा क्रमेण ॥
बंदीवदेव्या गिरिराजपुत्र्याः करोमि शंसंच्छतिगोचराणि ॥ . श्रीत्रयीसुरमित्रात्मजश्रीशोभाकरमित्रविरचितेलंकाररत्नाकरेलंकारसूत्राणि ॥ सुमुखेकार्थपदं पुनरुक्तवदाभासम् ॥ ......बनीलोकजनार्तिहानौ द्युम(स)त्सुपर्व
द्रविणार्थदात्री व्यनक्तु सिंहात्तु पदांघ्रिरुच्चैरुमांबिकाभक्तिमहोत्सवं वः ॥ Ends.
प्र म्नस्य चकार यत्र गिरिजा श्रीशारिकानुग्रहं । तया यत्र वराहलोचनभुवा शारीसरित्संगता ॥ राजासप्रवराभिधो हरागिरिं पातः मदोहो यतस्तिष्ठस्तत्रपुरे यशस्करकविस्तुष्टाव गौरीमिति ॥
श्रीशोभाकरसूत्रार्थस्वल्पोहामात्र घंठानम् ॥ निर्मितं रत्नकंठेन देवी । References. This work is described by Rajendralal Mitra in his
“Notices of Sanskrit Mss.” Vol. V, No. 1822 wherein he mentions this work as अलङ्काररत्नाकरोदाहरणसन्निबद्धदेवीस्तोत्रं and remarks: “A hymn to Parvati, in course of which illustrations are given of all the rhetorical ornaments noticed in the 'Alamkararatnakara'. By Simhasamkara of Kashmir". This is the same work as No. e, included in his
1882-83 Report I by Peterson. From the extract given by him ( vide Report I. p.81) and also from the colophon "....... यशस्करकविस्तुष्टाव गौरीमिति" of this Ms it appears that the work was composed by yasaskara of Kāśmir, and not by Simhašarkara as reported by Rajendralal Mitra.
