Mr. M. R. Kavi identifies this Nãnyadeva with area of H OT ( 18-7-1097 to 1133 A. D. )-Vide Journal, Andhra H. R. Society Vol. I, part 2, and Vol. III (Parts 2, 3, 4) pp. 200-201 where Mr. Kavi states that Nānyadeva was probably the ancestor of the present royal family of Nepal
and a scion of the Rāşțrakūța family. Subject. The work treats of music proper. Every step in the
advancement of music has been closely traced to the rites of the Vedic epoch and every instrument brought face to face with that used in the sacrificial rites. The work gives full information on every subject except on flute. Some chapters treat of saptagitis, dešigitis and the ancient tāla system, now obsolete. The work gives details for about
