(in Malayalam characters; in the library of H. H. the Ceria Anujan Raja). JAHRS-III, pt. I-p. 26-- Nandin or Tandu in the author of नन्दीश्वरसंहिता. He was the propounder of the Saiva or Aganic school of music. His Samhită was available till 1620 when Raghunatha of Tanjore borrowed from it. The work is now extinct except a chapter on histrionics. Argra's work referred to by Raghunātha is now extant in 40 chapters where every topic of gāndharva is dealt with. The author probably of the 14th century A. D. gives out only a Catalogue of technical terms in great detail. In this work श्रुतिs are 137, स्वरs are thousands, ग्राम 18, शुद्धरागड 68, सालंगड 69. He enumerates I0I तालs besides those found in शिवरात्र, one of the five pancarātra cults.
