________________ Shri Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra www.kobatirth.org Acharya Shri Kailassagarsuri Gyanmandir ૧૮ શ્રી જન સત્ય પ્રકાશ. કાર્તિક grahic ( 2411468) Mithyātva 2. Anābhigrabic (zlatzie) Mithyātva 3. Abbiniveshic (Burda 21 ) Mitbyatava 4. Slanehnyika (Riidiles) Mithyátva and 5. Anãbhogika ( Hall@1214 ) Mithyátva. 1. Abhigiaha ( 216 ) means acceptatce by one's self (2004 (29512). Abhigrahika Mithyátva (HICH IS (PuL) is that form of Mithyátva, in which an individual firmly believes in the doctrine accepted by himself or inherited by birth as the best and none else worth following, although he is ignorant of the true nature of objects, and not open to conviction by others. Just as the followers of the Bauddha or Sankhya or any other Darshana dogmatically assert their doctrine to be the best. Although a man bent upon destroying his opponent's theory (als) does not accept any doctrine, still, the captious argument adopted by him is sufficient to constitute Abbigrahika (4 184) Mithyātva in itself, because it is associated with dense pertinancy. If a Jain has firm faith in the explanation obtained by bim after a through examination and argumentation, then, there is no place for Mithyãtva. But if a person born in a Jain family prevents the investigation of scriptural books in accordance with the usage of his individual family, then, Abhigrahika (3414 ) Mithyátva is applicable to him. Bhagavāna Shree Haribhadrasuri says: पक्षपातो न मे वीरे न द्वेषः कपिलादिषु। युक्तिमद्वचनं यस्य तस्य कार्यः परिग्रहः ॥ १ ॥ I have no partiality for Vira, no animosity towards Kapila and others. One should accept the utterance of the person, whose utterance is supported by arguments. One who is not a learned man, but associating himself like Măsa Tusha Muni with learned Gurus and not knowing the principles of religion, because, he is not clover and wise, but has perfect faith in the various religious rites whose meaning he has known, has perfect faith in the explanation obtained by him and is not open to conviction by others because he his unable to accept an untruth. But because-of his depending on the commands of worthy Gurus and his subordination to them, and because he is not open to conviction by others, does not constitute Ābhigrabika (RHCE ) Mithyatya. 2. Anābhigrahika ( HAIGads) Mithiyatva consists in having equal faith in the doctrine accepted by himself as well as in the doctrine adopted by others, assuming a neutral position and declaring at the same time, that all the forms of the existing religions are equally good and instructing the ignorant in that direction.
