Vishva-bhūti Muni, wandering from village to village, came to Mathura Nagari. At that time, Prince Vishakha-nandi accompanied by a retinue of fellow-associates had gone to Mathura on the occassion of his marriage with the daughter of the King of Mathura. Vishva-bhūti at the end of one month's fasting, while moving about in search of food, happened to go near Vishaka-nandi's camp. Vishakhā-nandi's men Seeing the emaciated body of the Muni shouted merrily, "There goes Kumara Vishva-bhuti."Vishakha-nandi also recognised him. On seeing the Muni, Vishakhã-nandi was greatly enraged. Meanwhile, Vishva-bhūta Muni coming into collision with a cow fell down on the ground. Thereupon, Vishakha-nandi tauntingly said in a joke, "Where is that strength of yours, which was sufficient to fell down wood-apples from the tree, gone? On hearing this, Vishva-bhuti Muni became very angry, and with the object of showing his prowess, angrily seizing the cow with her horns, hurled her into the sky and on account of his innate animosity towards Vishakha-nandi, made a firm determination, "O! I wish I may become very powerful in my next life, owing to the supernatural efficacy of my rigorous penances, and that I may kill this Vishakha-nandi," On completion of the life-limit of one krore years without previously expiating for former sins, the soul of Vishva-bhuti Muni was born in the seventeeth Bhava as a god in the Shukra-Dvaloka (gas) with superior age-limit.

We shall now consider, how the soul of Shramana Phagavana Mahavira, evolved as such, how the soul of Nayasara assumed different forms in various Bhavas, how it dies and how the life-principle remains and will remain costant, in obediance to a fixed rule explained to the first disciple Shree Gautama Ganadhara by the Lord at the time of his attaining Perfect Knowledge as to how substances are produced, how they are destroyed and how they remain constant. All the living beings and substances in this world, are under the influence of that fixed rule. They are produced in this world, are destroyed, and the world as such remains constant. This rule is in existence from time without beginning and without end and will remain canstant in future. There will be no change in that rule at any time.
We shall now consider the incidents of the life-account of Vishva
bhūti.
Some considerations on the Bhava of Vishva-Bhuti.
We shall be able to see during the events of this Bhava, how the fine molecules of good or evil Karmic matter become associated with the particles of the soul, by practising good or evil deeds in previous lives;
