Vishya-bhuti Muni, "O, I wish I may become very powerful in my next life, owing to the supernatural efficacy of my rigorous penances and that I may kill this Vishākhā-nandi." Having completed his age-limit without expiating himself for the sin of having made the resolute determination for the purpose of killing his nephew Vishākbā-nandi, during the seventh Shava. Vishya-bhüti was born as a god in Dava-Loka ( 921 ) owing to the supernatural efficacy of an ascetic's life ( 1767 ) and having completed his age-limit as a god in Dev-Iloka was born 98 a Vasudeva during the eighteenth Bhava on account of his resolute determination during previous life.
Vishya-bhūti Muni became enraged and he made the resolute determination. It is important to know the duration of the influence of Mohaniya Karma. In accordance with the fixed role of Guñasthāna. (197414 ) or stages of spiritual advancement, Jain Sadhus have a position in the sixth and seventh stages. The sixth stage is Pramatta Sanyata Gunasthāna ( 44112102914 ). A Muni with destruction-subsidence action-currents in this stage, is under the complete influence of the one hundred and forty-eight sub-divisions of the eight varieties of Karmas including the twenty-eight sub-divisions of Mohaniya Karma. Owing to the perfect control of that Mohaniya Karma, there is no wonder, that there is a great chance of anger at the least provocation. Persons desirous of Liberation, have to increase the natural power of the soul at the time of the rise of anger. If the natural power of the soul predominates, the passions become helpless; but in case, the soul is subdued by the passions, there results a series of new evil Karmas.
Vishva-bhuti Muni forgetting the greatness of his own soul, is Vanquished by the preponderating influence of the Karma and makes a resolute determination to kill Vishākha-nandi. It is an indioation of the superior influence of the Karma.
Vishākha-nandi, practises jokes needlessly at the Muni, and terribly harasses him. There is a variety of Karma named Hāsya Mohaniya (6122R .4 Infatuation by laughter, in the Infatuation by Nine Slight passions ( da au4 ) division of the Chāritra Mohaniya Karma (Pula High 3*). People take delight in practising jokes at other individuals but they have no idea that there is at that time a bondage of Hasya Mohaniya Karma. There are numerous examples of persons, who were obliged to suffer very wicked consequences in their future lives on account of evil Karmas acquired by them.
