________________ Shri Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra www.kobatirth.org Acharya Shri Kailassagarsuri Gyanmandir ૧૯૯૩ Lord Mahavira 223 cules of a Karma producing birth in 1 low family (1121011454) are getting destroyed; the remaining molecules of such a Karma are experienced even during the commencement of his life in which he is to be a Tirthankara, as was the case with Lord Mahävira, Karma is such an impartial instrument, that, it does not have predilection for any particular individual in this world. Karma does not show partiality in subjecting any one to the good or evil consequences of his own deeds. People should always remember this fact in their dealings with other persons. Another great blunder of Marichi, occurs while answering the ques. tions of Kapila about his doctrine. The Omniscient lord has given a prominant place to the evil consequences arising from the propagation of a wrong belief. The propagation of a wrong belief, is the deep-acting evil consequence, resulting as one, out of the numerous causes of the eight varieties of Karmas. The soul alone acquires and is responsible for seven out of the eight varieties of Karmas, while by the propagatian of a wrong belief not only the soul himself acquires evil Karmas, but the persons obtaining the benefits of that wrong propagation, and many other persons in unbroken series acquiring evil Karmas, wander a great number of times in the Sansãra. The principle root-cause of these Karmas is the propagation of a wrong belief and consequently Marichi acquired for himself, the new evil Karma of wandering for one Kotã-koti Sãgaropama years in Sansãra. The author of a wrong belief, possessing intensely violent propensities wanders, even an endless number of times in Sansăra. A Vowless man with Samyaktva, a man with partial vows, an ascetic with desires for worldly pleasures, a person practising penance out of ignorance, a man having disgust towards worldly objects on account of misfortunes, a man having disgust towards worldly objects caused by infatuation, and a man suffering from hardships involuntarily; all these persons, destroying their Karmas, go to heavens ( 84213 ). Marichi, by reason of his practising even impure irreligious rites of an ascetic, on account of ignorance and infatuation, goes to heaven. We shall be able to know from the accounts of future lives, how a mixture of good and evil Karmas matares in a variety of ways, and shows pleasant or harsh consequences by giving a soul noble or low births. Here, the soul of Nayasăra, goes from his third previous life as Marichi, to that of a god, his fourth life. Learned men have described hypocrites as undeserving of respect. By paying them homage as teachers, both are put to a great loss. The person paying homage nourishes Mithyātva and the one adored, becomes For Private And Personal Use Only
