________________ Shri Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra www.kobatirth.org Acharya Shri Kailassagarsuri Gyanmandir ૨૧૪. શ્રી જૈન સત્ય પ્રકાશ bilat proud of his hypocrisy ; both the souls are working under a great disadvantage. The respectful bowring down to Marichi, by Bharata Chakravarti, was not done to him as a Guru, bat Marichi's soul was a future Tirthankara and it was out of devotion to the diguity of a Tirthankara, that, Bharata Chakravarti, paid homage to him. That respectful bowing down to Marichi was not, to any extent, detrimental to the sonl of Bharata Chakravarti, but it became the source of many evil Karmas to Marichi. It is apparent from this, how, adoration and respectful bowing down before a person of low moral character, becomes extremely harmful s own interest. Persons desirous of self-elevation should use disorimination, at the time of respecting hypocrites and men who are neglectful of the rules of conduct. Out of the four convictions of Samyaktya viz. 1. Paramărtha Sanstava (URHLY '289) An earnəgt desire for knowing objects as they are described by the Tirthankaras, 2. Gitārtha Pary apãsti (Naiz 44 Huza) Courtesy towards worthy ascetics, 3. Vyapanna darshana varjana (olymezimayr) Avoidatice of persons whose Samyaktva is destroyed and 4. Mithyādrishti Sansarga varjana ( Hulle n'a qorin ) Avoidance of the company of herutics. The second and the third relate to persons who are deserving of respectful salutation and those who are not. In the second Saddahaņā (REGOL) it is stated that those who are desirous of Final Eman. cipation, are propagators of the true religion, are preservors of the commands of the Lord and are acting in strict conformity with pure religious rites according to their own personal capacity; all such learned pious preceptors deserve to be respected and served. The third Saddahanā states that those who are going astray from the strict rules of morality, who are disgracing their creed, who are slack in the observance of strict religious rites, and those who are of bad character, should not be respected as teachers and such wicked persons do not deserve to be associated with. Many misfortunes can be prevented by acting in accordance with the sound advice contained in these statements. It is advisable at this stage to have some acquaintance with Karmas and their varieties. In this world, one is wise, while another is a dunce, one is rolling in wealth, another is penniless, one is a king another is a pauper, one is quite healthy, another is greatly diseased, one is happy, another is very miserable, one is liberal another very miserly, one is a master another his servant, one has ample to eat, while another has to work hard for & morsel of meagre bread. Even out of two sons of the same parents, one becomes a king, while the other has to lead a very miserable life. A son, For Private And Personal Use Only
