INTRODUCTION
vijayaji who conceived this scheme of Jaina Agama Series and remained a constant source of inspiration to the editors of the works of Series. Again, it was he who with great effort reorganised the Manuscript Libraries in Jesalmer, Patan, Cambay, etc., from where we have obtained most of the material necessary for editing the text of the Jñatadharmakathā. Our thanks are due to Pt: Dalsukhbhai Malvania and Dr. Naginbhai J. It is devotion to Scriptures that has urged members of the Managing Board of the Śri Mahavira Jaina Vidyalaya, to undertake this Scheme involving heavy expenditure. They have given me an opportunity to worship and respect Jinavacana through editing this Jaina Agama.
I am thankful to Dr. Nagindas Jivanlal Shah for translating into English my Sanskrit Amukha (= Preface).
