If we compare the dates given in the colophons of these three Mss. we find thut A was finished on Thursday the fifth of bright half Assina Samvat 1703 which comes to Sep. 23,1647 A, D, while B. and O. were finished nineteen years later (S. 1722 ) that is in 1666 A. D. A careful comparison of the Mss. shows that B. and C. are alnost --Kuct copies of the A which her the seal. Thus eren though I had three Men, for preparing the prosent edition they all belong to one urchetype. This has been a handicap. It inay, linwefer, Lc pointed out that on the whole these Msg, give correct and reliable readings. As said in the preface, printed clitions of K. P., particulely that of Jhalkikar, wero consulted ou doubtful points.

In the colophone at the end of all the Ullīsas the work is relorred to us Kavyaprakāsukhandana. In the introductory verse no. 3 howovor, the work is called Kāryaprakīšuvivrti, but in no. i the author says '0957616 #. Thus the author's intention is to write a critical exposition and he, therefore, calls his Vinti (expositivu: ) K. P. Khandana, to distinguish it from nore expositions. In fact Siddhicandra wrote a big commontary in the name of his Guru
