Chapter 37
WORLD PEACE
The Tao never does, Yet through it everything is done, If princes and dukes can keep the Tao
The world will of its own accord be reformed. When reformed and rising to action, Let it be restrained by the Nameless pristine simplicity. The Nameless pristine simplicity Is stripped of desire (for contention). By stripping of desire quiescence is achieved, And the world arrives at peace of its own accord.

विश्व-शांति
ताओ कभी कर्मरत नहीं होता, तो भी सभी कुछ उसके द्वारा ही कर्मरत हैं। यदि समाठ और भूस्वामी ताओ को अक्षुण्ण रख सकें, तो संसार आप ही सुधर जाएगा। और जब सुधर जाए और कर्मरत छो जाए, तब उस अनाम पुरातन सरलता के द्वारा उसका अनुशासन हो। यह अनाम पुरातन सरलता (स्पर्धा के लिए) वासना से रहित है। वासनारक्षितता से निश्चलता प्राप्त होती है, आँर संसार आप ही आप शांति को उपलब्ध होता है।
