Chapter 42
THE VIOLENT MAN
Out of Tao, One is born; Out of One, Two; Out of Two, Three; Out of Three, the created universe. The created universe carries the yin at its back and the yang in front. Through the union of the pervading principles it reaches harmony. To be 'orphaned lonely' and 'unworthy' is what men hate most. Yet the princes and dukes call themselves by such names For sometimes things are benefited by being taken away from, And suffer by being added to. Others have taught this maxim, Which I shall teach also: 'The violent man shall die a violent death.' This I shall regard as my spiritual teacher.

सिक मनुष्य
ताओ से एक का जन्म हुआ, एक से दो का, दो से तीन का, आँन तीन से सृष्ट ब्रह्मांड का उदय हुआ। सृष्ट ब्रह्मांड के पीछे यिन का वास है और उसके आगे यान का, इन्हीं व्यापक सिद्धांतों के योग से वह लयबद्धता को प्राप्त होता है। 'अनाथ', 'अयोग्य' आँर अकेला' होने से मनुष्य सर्वाधिक घृणा करता है। तो भी राजा आँन भूमिपति अपने को इन्ही नामों से पुकारते हैं, क्योंकि चीजें कभी घटाई जाने से लाभ को प्राप्त होती है और बढ़ाई जाने से ठानि को। दुसनों ने इसी सत्र की शिक्षा दी है, मैं भी वही सिनवाऊंगा: हिंसक मनुष्य की मृत्यु हिंसक होती हैं।' इसे ही मैं अपना आध्यात्मिक गुरु मानूंगा।
