be Bhavasagar Sari. It is written at Shrivardhanpur possibly Badnavar in Madhya Pradesh.

8. F. This paper MS. belongs to Pt. Jinadas Phadakule, Sholapur. It measures 30.10 x 18 cms. and contains 209 folios. Each page has 13 lines and each line about It is comparatively a late copy, prepared by Parshwanath Phadakule in Sam. 1950 (i.e. 1893 A.D.)
It opens thus : ॐ नमः सिद्धेभ्यः । अथ ज्ञानार्णव लिख्यते । ज्ञानलक्ष्मी etc. It is accompanied by Sanskrit commentary. It runs thus: परमात्मानं अन्य नौमि नमामि किंनूतं परमात्मानं पुनः किंभूतं परमात्मानं अव्ययं विनाशरहितम् etc.. The concluding colophon runs thus भवार्णवः ॥ ३॥ इति शानार्णवशास्त्रं परिसमाप्तम् ।

The subsequent portion gives details of the copying and presentation of this MS. The readings from this MS. were taken down in Sholapur office and the Editor is availed himself of them.
9. V. This is a paper MS. belonging to Syadwad Mahavidyalaya, Varanasi. It is numbered there 290. It measures 27.5 x 17.5 cms. and contains 100 folios. Each page has 15 lines and each line about 40 letters. The text is accompanied by a Teeka. The MS. is incomplete and ends with verse No. 40 of the 19th chapter.
The MS. begins thus: &: fun and the colophon of the 18th chapter stands thus : इति श्रज्ञानाने योगप्रदीपाधिकारे आचार्य शुभचन्द्रविरचिये रत्नप्रकरण अष्टादशः सर्गः ॥

10. B. This is paper MS. belonging to Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute, Poona. Its S. No. is It contains both the text and commentary. It is an incomplete MS. It begins with folio No. 1 and ends with folio No. 67; but the folio No. 31 is missed and 26 is doubled. Thus the total number of folios is 67. Each folio has been written on both the sides except the first. The folio numbers are written in black ink in the margin on the b-side of the folio. At some places the numbers are not clear. Somewhere the numbers are circled in red ink. The MS. measures 31.5 x 14.5 cms. Each page has 13 lines and each line has about 38 to 45 letters. It is all written in black ink. However the marginal lines, Dandas, colophons, titles, numbers of verses and some words are written in red ink.
The writing is uniform. Some letters like $ and Kh, Y and P, U and AU, Dhy and Vy are mutually confused. As a rule, the copiest uses Anuswar and not Parasavarna.
The MS. opens thus : ॥ ६० ॥ नमः श्रीवीतरागाय ।। स्वस्ति श्रीनिलयं सुधामपि सुधासारं etc. and ends thus परमाणोः परं नापं न मदत् गगनात्परं यया किंवा धमों नाहिंसालक्षणात्परः ॥ ४१ ॥ परमाणोः सकाशात् 314 zala etc.
On the last page there are numbers "61-13-38. 2000' in the right side of the page. The ending portion is of Ahimsa Prakarapam 8, verse No. 41. This MS. is identical with the MS. received from Jain Sahitya Shodha Sanstha, Jaipur, i. e. J, described below.
