4. N. This palm-leaf MS. belongs to the collection of the Jain Math Bhandar in Moodbidri (S. A. ). Its registered No. is 172. It measures 26.5x4 cms. It has 115 folios. Each page has 7 lines and each line 40 to 53 letters. It contains the text of Jñänarnava written in old Kannad characters. The peculiarities of writing are as those in M-MS.

It opens thus : शान्तिनाथाय नमः | जिनेन्द्रवाण्यै नमः । चानलक्ष्मीचना etc. and ends thus : ||89॥ इति शानानवे योगदीपाधिकारे आवा श्री शुभचन्द्रविरचिते ध्यानफलमोक्षस्वरूपप्रतिपादन प्रकरणम् ॥ श्रीयशांतिनावाय नमः। जिनेन्द्रवाये नमः ॥ श्रीचंद्रकीर्तिमुनये नमः अस्मविद्यागुरुभ्यो नमः ॥ श्री ॥ ७॥
This MS. was received through Pt. Vardhaman Shastri and the various readings in comparison with printed text are taken in the Sholapur office. The Editor has availed himself of this material.
5. L. This is a paper MS. belonging to Laxmisen Math, Kolhapur. It is numbered 31. It has got 161 folios measuring 27.0x12.7 cms. Excepting the first, other folios are written on both the sides. Every page has got 8 to 9 lines and every line has 33 to 38 letters.
This MS. contains the Jñanarnava Mula. It is written in black ink. The marginal lines, Dandas, Subject-endings, Numbers, Colophons of the chapters etc. are in red ink. The MS. is written by one person and hand-writing is good.
In this MS. Anuswar is for Parasavarn. Sometimes Y is written like P. The consonant with r is not doubled.

This begins thus ॐ नमः सिद्धेभ्यः ॥ ज्ञानलक्ष्मीचना etc. and ends thus इत्याचार्यश्रीशुभ चंद्र विरचिते धानार्णवे योगप्रदीपाधिकारे ध्यानकृत इति फलं ॥४२॥ इति कतिपय... "देद्रींद्रचंद्रः ॥ २ ॥ इत्याचार्यश्रीशुभचंद्रविरचिते छानार्णवे योगप्रदीपाधिकारे मोक्षप्रकरणं समाप्तं ॥ ४३ ॥ इति धानानः समाप्तिमगमत् ॥ श्री ॥ [शानार्णवस्य ... भवार्णवः॥१ शुभं भवतु ॥कल्याणमस्तु ॥ श्रीरस्तु ॥
6. S. This is a paper MS, belonging to Bubane Adinath Mandir, Sholapur. It contains 72_folios. It measures 25.4 x 12.8cms. Each page has 13 to 15 lines and each line has 38 to 40 letters. The paper is thin and sufficiently old.
It opens thus : ॥६०॥ ओं नमः सिद्धां । ज्ञानलक्ष्मी etc. and ends thus : ।। ११ ।। इति श्री ज्ञानार्णव संस्कृत ग्रन्थको देशमायामय वचनिका प्रकरण समाप्त भया संपूर्णः ॥ श्रीरस्तु | कल्याणमस्तु ॥
This MS. contains the text and Jayachandra's Vachanika in Hindi. readings from this MS. were taken down in the Sholapur office and the Editor availed himself of them.
7. T. This paper MS. belongs to the Bubane Adinath Mandir, Sholapur. It contains 88 folios. It measures 25.4 x 12.8 cms. In the beginning folios 1 to 6 each page has 10 to 12 lines and thereafter 13 lines. The number of letters in each line varies from 33 to 39.
It opens thus ॥ ६० ॥ श्रीमद्वीरे सद्गुरुभ्यो नमः ॥ श्री॥ ज्ञानलक्ष्मी etc. and ends thus : इत्याचार्य शुभचन्द्रविरच्यते ज्ञानार्णवे योगप्रदीपाधिकारे मोक्षप्रकरणम् ॥ छ ॥ ग्रन्थाग्रन्थसंख्या २७०० इति श्रयं शुभं रस्तु ॥ समष्टादशरुद्रेण मासाश्च निपज्ञ लीलयो आनन्दानन्दभूमिज्य मतले शास्त्रमेतनं ॥ पूर्वगमिलाकः पूज्यश्रीमद्भावो भिरभिः तस्य चरणानुसंजाति लिश्यते लेखपूर्वकं ॥ जहं तेलं etc. ॥ श्रीवर्धनपुरे ।
This MS. is full of copyist's mistakes. It is written in Sam. 1811 (i. e. 1754 A. D.). The name of the copyist is not mentioned but his teacher's name appears to
