Without uttering any word about the food they move silently. Akkhomakkhana-mettam bhunjanti munii paanadhaarananimittam | Panam dhamma-nimittam dhammam pi caranti mokkhattham || 817|| Greate-saints takes food for the sake of preserving of their life just like the smearing on the pole of a cart, preserving of their life is for the sake of religion and that the performing of religion is for the sake of the Moksha or Liberation.
