Bhoja's Srngāraprakāša (यद् यत् प्रोषितपतिका प्रियतम-नामाक्षरं लिखति लेखे ।
तद् तत्तलेखनिकानुसार-गलितः प्रोञ्छति(=मार्जयति) स्वेदः ॥) This gatha is included in Weber's edition (No. 841). (4) Nediyasi (avadhi-pratiksa) yatha (Vol IV. p. 1099) -
घरकज्जेण वि जो चल्लइ जत्थ धावइ तहिं तहि चेअ । घरणीए ओहिदिअहे पद्धावइ संकिअं हिअअं॥
(गृहकार्येणापि यः(१यत्र) चलति यत्र धावति तत्र तत्रव ।
- गृहिण्या अवधिदिवसे प्रधावति शंकितं हृदयम् ।।) This gātbā is not found to be quoted in any other work on poetics. I have tentatively rewritten it and given its Sanskrit chaya. (5) Manasa-pratyaksena priya-janavalokah susvapna-darsanam...tesu aparyāpta-rūpo yatha (Vol IV. p. 1103) -
सिविणअ-खण-सुत्तुट्ठिआए पुणरुत्तदसणमणाए । बालाए णिमीलिअ-लोअणाए दिवसो वि वोलीणो । (स्वप्न-क्षण-सुप्तोत्थितायाः पुनरुक्तदर्शनमनसः ।
बालाया निमीलित-लोचनाया दिवसो पि गतः (अतिक्रान्तः) ।) This quotation is highly important in that it helps us to restore one Prakrit passage in the Abhinavabharati (Vol.I, p. 307) which is extremely corrupt, and has baffled the editors, commentators and research scholars all these years. The context in which the Prakrit passage has been quoted by Abhinavagupta supports its identification with the present gatha. There is another Prakrit gātha which opens with the letters "sivina" and could be identified with Abhinavagupta's quotation. The gatha is included by Weber in his edition (No. 835). It runs as follows:
सिविणअलद्धपिअअमपुलइउग्गमणिभरेहि अंगेहिं । परिरंभणे सहाई पावउ मा णं पबोहेह ।। (स्वप्नलब्ध-प्रियतम-पुलकितोद्गम-निर्भरैरंगैः ।
परिरम्भणे सुखानि प्राप्नोतु मैनां प्रमोधयत ॥) (6) Tatra manorathopagamo yatha (Vol. IV p. 1103) -
This gātha, with slight correction, when rewritten agrees with the Gatha-saptasati (II. 37):
फुरिए वामच्छि तुए, जइ एहिइ मह पिओ ता सुइरं । मीलिअदाहिणणअणं तुइए अविअण्डं पुलोइस्सं ॥ (स्फुरिते वामाक्षि त्वयि यदि एष्यति मम प्रियः तर्हि सुचिरम् । ।
मीलितदक्षिणनयनं त्वया वितृष्णं प्रलोकयिष्यामि ॥) . (7) Pravasato grhagamanam priyapratyagamah sa dhira-nimitto yatha
