The people referred to by the word "olel” were ignorant of the ways of the world; but then at the same time they were quite innocent people. The word sayincil” may be well substituted by the phrase a 217441 Gileri ayat 24.atla ASI.? 2 The 22nd line of the lesson begins with Hall 2462 Eta નાંખજે”. Here we object to the word “કંદમૂલ” which occurs in the 13th line of the lesson. This lesson has been written from the life of Rishabhdevji of Hemchandra. There the word is eft: which means grain, instances of which are mentioned therein, of wheat, rice and moong. Moreover we Jains abstain from eating s as we are forbidden to eat it by our religious scriptures. Hence we submit, the word "6244" should be substituted, everywhere it occurs, by the word bilazı" which is the equivalent for the word of. Re Marsden's Gujrati History. 3 we diva yeni üsul alamizha Evi 47 MERLO”......... This is quite an untruth. adiuta is the term applicable only to the foll.. owers of Coral just as the word fe glo42 is to the other section of such followers. The term diula is never applied to the Idol as dresseil in white. We never adore our idols byputting any white clothes on or about them. 4. “જૈને પિતાનાં દહેરાં માણસના વાસથી દુર ઘાડા જંગલોમાં તથા sol @chi ving......... This sounds quite unnatural and meaningless. The fact is that the Cities and Towns in which temples were built, have come to be ruined and deserted by lapse of centuries; but from this it could not be inferred that the Jains build their temples in forests and wastes. Therefore "üldid sozi Hazal alzte ઘાડા જંગલોમાં બાંધે છે.” may be omitted. And જનો પિતાના દહેરાં ડુંગરામાં vil.”......... may well be substituted by my al üldlai Egziuar Yu1FL 2421 RAL 30221 042 vidu.”......... Shatrunjaya, Girnar and Parshwanath hills are the hills on which our Tirthankaras had devoted themselves to meditation till salvation, and hence the sanctity of the places, which easily explains why the Jains have built their temples there and do so even at the present day.
