28. - V. 1005 (?). - In the Asiatic Researches, Vol. I. p. 284, Charles Wilkins has pablished a translation of a Sanskrit inscription (copied by Mr. Wilmot in A. D. 1785 from a stone at Buddha-Gaya), the date of which he has rendered thus : -
“On Friday, the fourth day of the new moon in the month of Madhoo, when in the seventh or mansion of Ganisa, and in the year of the Era of Veekramddeetya 1005."12
