तपश्चराणां धुरि कीर्त्यते यो महानहिंसाचरणावतारः ।
जगद्धिताssदर्शविभासिवाचः
स्मरामि तं किञ्चन वर्धमानम् ॥ १ ॥
જે તપસ્વીઓમાં અગ્રેસર તરીકે ગવાય છે, જે અહિંસાના યા અહિંસામય ચારિત્રના મહાન્ અવતાર છે અને જેની વાણી, જગત્ત્ને હિતાવહ એવા આદશ ના પ્રકાશ કરનારી છે, એ વધ માનને હું કઇક યાદ કરૂ છું.
Let me meditate awhile on the Lord Vardhamana, the best amongst ascetics, the great incarnation to practise non-injury, and whose teachings illumined the ideal which proved beneficial to mankind.
