तद्वाचमङ्गीकुरुते विनम्रोऽ
धिकं गृहे तिष्ठति वर्षयुग्मम् ।

गृहस्थवेषेऽपि समाचरन् सः ॥ ५० ॥

મહાવીર વિનમ્રપણે પેાતાના મ્હાટા ભાઇનું કહ્યું સ્વીકારી લે છે. અને, ગૃહસ્થ–વેષભૂષામાં પણ ત્યાગી જીવનની વિશેષ ક્રિયાઓનું આચરણ કરતા તેઓ બે વર્ષ વધુ ગૃહવાસમાં રહે છે.
