तमष्टवर्ष पठनस्य हेतो
रधीतिशालां नयतः पिताऽम्बा । माता च शत्रुर्जनकश्च वैरी .
न यो समध्यापयतः प्रजां स्वाम् ॥ ८॥
- આઠ વર્ષની ઉમ્મર થતાં વર્ધમાન કુમારને ભણાવવા માટે માતા-પિતા વિદ્યાશાલામાં લઈ જાય છે. તે માતા શત્રુ છે અને તે પિતા વૈરી છે કે જેઓ પિતાની ઓલાદને બરાબર વિદ્યાભ્યાસ કરાવતા નથી.
