they contain the praise of either Sri Krşņa i.e. Vāsudeva Krisņa or Sri Rāma i.e. Dāsarathi Rāma. A scholar called Jayagovind Vājapeyi is mentioned respectfully as an authority in respect of a metrical practice on II, 24.
The author is undoubtedıy a poet of a high order; his illustrations are composed in a delightfully lucid style, in spite of a sort of artificiality which had to be introduced in view of the metrical needs of a definition. It can be recommended to the reader both as a manual of prosody and as a small poem.
