811 We also took notice of such minor-types as muktaka, sandānitaka, kalāpaka, kośa and parikatha mentioned by Namisādhu who believes that Rudrata means these by "ādi.”, though not actually counted by Rudrata, but read in Anandavardhana with reference to the discussion on samghatanā. Anandavardhana, (Dhv. III. 7) observes :
visayāśrayam apy anyad aucityam tām niyacchati, kavya-prabhedāśrayatah
sthitā bhedavati hi sā. (Dhv. III. 7) i.e. “Another consideration which governs the usage of texture is its decorum with regard to the literary medium adopted. Texture thus becomes different in different forms of literature.” (Trans. K.Kris. pp. 129, ibid)
He further observes in the aloka that : vaktp-vācya-gataucitye saty api visaya"śrayam anyad aucityam samghatanam niyacchati. yatah kavyasya prabhedāh - muktakam samskrta prākrtā pabhramśa-nibaddham, sandānitaka viśeşaka-kalāpaka-kulakāni, paryāyabandhaḥ, parikathā, khandakathā-sakalakathe, sarga-bandho'bhineyártham ākhyāyikā-kathe ity evam ādayaḥ - tad āśrayeņā’pi samghatanā višeşavatī bhavati. tatra muktakeșu rasa-bandhábhinivesinaḥ kaves tad āśrayam aucityam. tac ca daríitam eva. anyatra kāmacārah.
muktakesu prabandheşv iva rasa-bandhā'bhinivesinaḥ kavayo drśyante. tathā hy amaruka-kaver muktakāh śrngāra-rasa-syandinah prabandhāyamānāḥ prasiddhā eva. sandānitakesu tu vikata-nibandhana-aucityān madhyama-samāsa-dīrghasamāse eva racane. prabandhāśrayeșu yathokta-prabandhaucityam evā’nusartavyam. paryāyabandhe punar asamāsa-madhama-samāse eva samghatane. kadācid aucityāśrayeņa dīrgha-samāsāyām api samghatanāyām parușā grāmyā ca vrttiḥ parihartavyā.parikathāyām kāmacāraḥ, tatra itivștta-mātrópanyāsena nā'tyantam rasabandhābhiniveśāt. khanda-kathā-sakala-kathayos tu prākrta-prasiddhayoḥ
bandhana bhūyastvād vrttyaucityam tu yathārasam anusartavyam sargabandhe tu rasa-tātparye yathārasam aucityam anyathā tu kāmacārah; dvayor api mārgayoḥ sargabandha-vidhāyinām darśanāt rasa-tātparyam sādhīyaḥ. abhineyárthe tu sarvathā rasanibandhebhiniveșaḥ kāryaḥ ākhyāyikā-kathayos tu gadya-nibandhana-bāhulye chandobandha-bhinna-prasthānatvād iha niyame hetuḥ a-kştapūrvo’pi manāk kriyate.
