have high faith in themselves. It is a teacher's duty to play the role model of a child guide and philosopher, to extract and strengthen the best in a child. For a child is a gift of God and a blessing to a society. It must be handled and moulded with care and dexterity to add to the pride of our nation. It is only then that we, the teachers would feel that our lives have not gone in vain but have served the society in our own meager limited way. Thus a teacher is a guiding star who leads the way through the undulations of life, traveling miles and miles and finally aiming for that idea utopian world where not violence but peace and harmony would prevail.
