Ratnakarandaka-śrāvakācāra
kşetravāstu, hiranyasuvarņa, dhanadhānya, and dāsidāsa. Kupya' includes silk, cotton cloth, silken garments, sandalwood paste etc. The householder takes a resolve as follows, 'With regard to these, my possessions shall be only so much and not above the limit.' Exceeding the set limits with regard to these out of excessive greed constitutes the five transgressions of the vow of limiting one's possessions.

वास्तुक्षेत्राष्टापदहिरण्यधनधान्यदासदासीनाम् । कुप्यस्य भेदयोरपि परिमाणातिक्रमाः पञ्च ॥ १८७ ॥ Exceeding the limits set with regard to houses and land, gold and silver, cattle and corn, men and women servants, and clothes, are the five transgressions of the vow of limiting possessions.
