२४. कम्मं चिति सवसा, तस्सुदयम्मि उपरव्वसा होंति ।
रुक्खं दुरुहइ सवसो, विगलइ स परव्वसो तत्तो ॥ ३ ॥
जीव कर्म बाँधने में स्वतंत्र है, परन्तु उस कर्म का उदय होने पर भोगने में उसके अधीन हो जाता है । जैसे कोई पुरुष स्वेच्छा से वृक्ष पर तो चढ़ जाता है, किन्तु प्रमादवश नीचे गिरते समय परवश हो जाता है ।
૨૪. જીવ કર્મ બંધતમાં સ્વતંત્ર છે, પણ એ કર્મતો ઉદય થવાથી એને ભોગવવામાં એને આધીન થઈ જાય છે. જેવી રીતે કોઈ
પુરુષ સ્વેચ્છાએ ઝાડ ઉપર ચડી તો જાય છે, પરંતુ પ્રમાદવશ નીચે પડતી વેળાએ પરવશ થઈ જાય છે.
24. A soul is free to commit bondage of Karmas but when such deeds (karmas) mature / ripe to give their fruits/consequences, ( results) one has to bear them by surrendering (compulsorily), them as one can climb a tree Just at, his own will, but if he neglects, while falling down, sufferings that occur, he has no option but to bear them helplessly.
२५. कम्मवसा खलु जीवा, जीववसाइं कहिंचि कम्माई । कत्थइ धणिओ बलवं, धारणिओ कत्थई बलवं || ४ ||
कहीं जीव कर्म के अधीन होते हैं तो कहीं कर्म जीव के अधीन होते हैं । जैसे कहीं ऋण देते समय तो धनी बलवान् होता है तो कहीं ऋण लौटाते समय कर्जदार बलवान् होता है।
૨૫. ક્યારેક જીવ કર્મને આધીત હોય છે તો ક્યારેક કર્મ જીવતે અધીત થઈ જાય છે. જેવી રીતે ક્યારેક ધન આપતી વેળાએ
ધતિક બળવાત હોય છે તો ક્યારેક ધન ચૂકવતી વેળાએ કર્જદાર બળવાન હોય છે.
25. Sometimes a soul is dependent on karmas whereas, at times Karmas are dependent on soul. In certain situations the person giving money (lender) is rich and stronger whereas a debtor is stronger while repaying the debt.
