९६. न कम्मुणा कम्म खति बाला, अकम्मुणा कम्म खवेंति धीरा ।
मेधाविणो लोभमया वतीता, संतोसिणो नो पकरेंति पावं ॥५॥ अज्ञानी साधक कर्म के द्वारा कर्म का क्षय नहीं कर सकते । धीर-पुरुष अकर्म (संयम) के द्वारा कर्म का क्षय करते हैं । मेधावी पुरुष लोभ और मद से अतीत तथा सन्तोषी होकर पाप नहीं करते ।
૯૬. અજ્ઞાતી સાધક કર્મથી કર્મનો ક્ષય નથી કરી શકતા. ધીર
પુરુષ અકર્મથી (સંયમ) કર્મનો ક્ષય કરે છે. મેધાવી પુરુષ લોભ અને મદથી સંતોષ પામીને પાપ કરતા નથી.
96. An ignorant Meditator cannot eliminate karmic
particles through karma whereas a man of patience by excercising restraint and self control can existinguish karmic particles. A learned and genious person does not commit sins due to contentment. He stays away from greed and pride.
९७. सव्वओ पमत्तस्स भयं ।
सव्वओ अप्पमत्तस्स नत्थि भयं ॥६॥
प्रमत्त को सब ओर से भय होता है । अप्रमत्त को कोई भय नहीं होता ।
૯૭. પ્રમાદીતે બધી બાજુથી ભય હોય છે. અપ્રમાદીતે કોઈ ભય
હોતો નથી.
97. A lazy and negligent is surrounded by fear
from all the sides, whereas awakened
