Structure Description of the Metrcs and Rhyming Prosc Type and
Their List in Order of Occurrence
For the definitions of अडिल्ल, कुंडलिया, गाहा, घात (which is the same as वस्तु of LR.), चालि, दूहा, (छोटडा दूहा), पद्धडी (which is the same as रासउ of LR.) भुजंगप्रयात, मडिल्ल, षट्पद, सिलोग and रासउ (which is the same as 46 st of LR.) see LR. Introduction. Only HICO 2541 and लच्छीहर are peculiar to SSR. What is called मालती-रूपक here is the same as भ्रामरावलि (Prakrta Pairngala 2, 154; Vrttajati-samuccaya, 4, 61) each line of which is made up of five सगण (uu-, uu-, uu-, uu-, uu-). मालती is a different metre (Velankar, Chandonusāsana, p. 361). लच्छीहर is defined at Präkrta Paimgala 2, 127 as each of its four lines having four रगणs (-1-, -1-, -u-, -1-). It is known as कामिनीमोहन, स्रग्विणी etc. in other manuals of metres. (Velankar, p. 215). It should be noted that in the nomenclature of the metres Sāntisūri and Isvarasüri follow somewhat different traditions.
