In LC. four Vs. are mentioned according to which certain verscs are to be sung. LC, follows in its choice of metres the Bardic tradition as against the Classical Apabhramsa tradition (See SR. Indtroduction, p. 48-49). In the Apabhramsa Rāsakas the standard metre was TAIAT45/17674. Instead in LC., as mentioned above, दूहा, पद्धडी and गाथा are preferred. For variation metres also we can see the influence of the Bardic tradition, represented by the Mini-US). As the text of LC, is based on the only one available manuscript, we have a number of lines which are metrically irregular. *** Description of the metres, Rhyming Prose-Types etc. 1.
