यह पुस्तक विदेशों में, पूर्वी व दक्षिणी भारत में अध्ययनार्थ अत्यधिक रूप से प्रयोग में आई। लगभग 43 वर्ष तक अंग्रेजी जगत के . अध्ययनार्थियों ने इसका भरपूर उपयोग किया।
डॉ. ए. एन. उपाध्ये लिखते हैं: "The Dharmāmrta of Ašādhara (1240A.D.) is perhaps a fine attempt to propound the twofold discipline in one unit.
