7. About this Bhagavan has prescribed (preached or propagated) parijna (awareness or knowledge).
(People indulge in violence mainly due to the following reasons) __ (1) (Everyone loves life, therefore he makes use of wealth, medicine and other things) in order to protect his life, ___ (2) (He makes efforts to win competitions like wrestling) in order to gain praise and fame,
(3) (He accumulates wealth and power) in order to gain status and prestige,
(4) (He participates in war and other such violent contests) in order to gain respect and veneration, __ (5) (He indulges in festivities to celebrate the day of his child's or own) birth, ___ (6) (He indulges in various rites and rituals connected with) death,
(7) (He indulges in religious rituals like animal sacrifice) inspired by the desire of liberation,
(8) (He indulges in various violent experiments to vanquish ailments, terror and torments) in order to be free of sorrows.
विवेचन-योनि का अर्थ है-उत्पत्ति स्थान। नौ प्रकार की योनियों का वर्णन प्रज्ञापना सूत्र के योनि पद में है। जिसका विस्तार आचार्य श्री आत्माराम जी म. कृत टीका, पृ. ५९-६० पर देखा जा सकता है।
चूर्णि में भोयणाए-पाठान्तर भी है, जिसका भाव है-जन्म-मरण सम्बन्धी भोजन के लिए अथवा आहार की गवेषणा के लिए। ___ परिवंदण की जगह कहीं-कहीं 'परिबृंहण' शब्द भी मिलता है। इसका अर्थ है-जीवन की परिपुष्टि के लिए प्राणी हिंसा करता है। ___ आगमों में फास- स्पर्श' शब्द अनेक अर्थों में प्रयुक्त हुआ है। साधारणतः त्वचा-इन्द्रियग्राह्य सुख-दुःखात्मक संवेदन या अनुभूति को स्पर्श कहा गया है, किन्तु प्रसंगानुसार इससे भिन्न-भिन्न शस्त्र परिज्ञा : प्रथम अध्ययन
