According to ABH. चिभिटी (or चिर्भटी) and वालुकी are synonymous, ag is used in Hemacandra's Parišişta-parvan (MW). In Prakrit arg is attested from Hāla's Sapatsataka (PSM.). For NIA. deriva. tives of FH2- etc. (in Lahanda, Panjabi, Sindhi, Konkani and Marathi) see IAL. 4826. There Guj. THE, I also should be included. IAL. has not noted any derivatives from arst. 4.
