१४. अंतरागोको तोड़नेके लिये एक विशिष्ट शक्तिका परिस्फोटन होना जरूरी था।
इस विक्ट विषयमें साहित्य सम्राट् डॉ. रवींद्रनाय टागोर कहते हैं:- Mahavir proclaimed in India the messnge of salvation that religion is a reality and not a more social convention that salvation comes from taking refugo in that true Teligion, and not from observing the exter. nal ceremonies of the community,-that religion can not regard any barrier between man and man as an eternal verity. Wondrous to relate, this teaching rapidly overtopped the barriers of the race's abiding instinit and .conquered the whole country. For a long period now the influence of Kshatriya teachers completely suppressed the Brahmin power.
अर्थात्-महावीरने डीडीम् नादसे हिन्दमें ऐसा संदेश फैलाया कि धर्म यह मात्र सामाजिक रूढी नहीं परन्तु वास्तविक सत्य है। मोक्ष यह वाहिरी क्रियाकांड पालनेसे नहीं मिलता परन्तु सत्य धर्म स्वरूपमें आश्रय लेनेसे ही प्राप्त होता है और धर्ममें मनुष्य और मनुष्यों कोई स्थायी भेद नहीं रह सकता। कहते आश्चर्य पैदा होता है कि इस सिक्षगने समानके हृदयनें जड़ करके बैठी हुई भावनापी विघ्नोको त्वरासे भेद दिये और देशको कशीभूत कर लिया इसके पश्चात् बहुत समय तक इन क्षत्रीय उपदेशकोंके प्रभाववलसे ब्राह्मणोंकी सत्ता अभिभूत होगई थी।
