________________ 152 PRABUDHHA JIVAN: AAGAM PARICHAY SPECIAL AUGUST-SEPTEMBER 2012 2 Some Notes: 9 Uttaradhyayana, Risibhasita, Dasasrutaskandha, Kalpa, Vyavyahara, Nishitha, etc are considered as Kalika Sutra means they are to be read at particular SWADHYAYA TIME. The influence of Shorseni dilect on Agamas might have Gstarted after Mathuri Vachana. The Nandisutra informs us that Arya Skandils Anuyoga was popular in Southern India. This Calso lead to the theory that Papaniya sect might have recognised them as they are in Shorseni Prakrit without much influenced by Maharastri Prakrit. 2 The Archaeological References: 2 There are so many sculptures excavated from Kankali Tila, Mathura which contained the carving of various stories of Avasyaka Niryukti Acharanga Sutra. Rayapaseniya Sutra etc. Some of them are described below One of the small pillar five feet height has the depiction of the Valkal-Chiri when Ganikas tried to attract him. A story of Chandanabala and Dhanasheth also beautifully carved showing her hungry. She holds a Thali with offerings. This story is depicted in three sections. The description of Preksa Griha of Yan-viman of Suryabha Deva is very similar to Deva Nirmita Stupa at Mathura. Accordingly the shalbhanjikas, auspicious symbols, Toranas, Pillars, symbolic art specimen dramatized by deities were 2 2 carved as per Rayapasenium Sutra. Dr. U. P. Shah and also some other scholar had opined that its adornment seems to be eyewitness account of Jaina Sutra of Kaushana age. Thus the availablility of life incidences of Mahavira, Chandanbala, Jivitswami, Valkalchiri establishes the antiquity of CAgam Sutra and it's Niryuktis.
