(h) Sangrahasampad:
(1) knowledge of the proper place for the younger monks (bālādi
yogyakşetra), (2) knowledge pertaining to the requisites,
(3) pertaining to the proper time of study or begging, and (4) pertaining to the rules of proper moral conduct and self-control
(vinaya).36 No other details regarding this officer are given in the Anga texts.
(h) Ganahara:
This term was applied to the chief disciple of the Tirthankara. No details about him are to be found in the texts proper. The commentaries explain him, besides being the 'jinaśisyaviśeşah', also as the 'aryikāpratijāgarako' i.e., the protector of the nuns. He is also described as one who was priyadharmā (one who likes a religious mode of conduct), dşdhadharmā (firm in religion), sjuka (straightforward), sangrahopagrahakusalah (one who is able to increase not only the following but also to manage to secure the necessary things for his followers), sūtrārthavid (well-versed in the sacred lore) and gaņādhipati (head of the group of monks).37
It is not clear whether there was any distinction between the gañin and the ganadhara for the former was also equated with the gananāyaka which implied the ganadhara.38

(i) Ganīvaccheiya:
As in the case of the rest of the officers, the exact nature of this officer also is not clear. First of all, nowhere his qualifications are given, and in the second place, the texts are silent about his duties.
Only the commentaries explain him as the head of the part of the gana.39 Terms Connected with Church Life:
