सीसच्छेदे धुवो मच्चू, मूलच्छेदे हतो दुमो ।
मूलं फलं च सव्वं च, जाणेज्जा सव्ववत्थुसु।।13।।
13. मस्तक छेद से मृत्यु और जड़ के छेदन से वृक्ष का नाश निश्चित है। अतः विज्ञ समस्त पदार्थों में मूल और उसके फल का परिज्ञान करें ।
13. A severe wound in head precedes a certain death and radical injury to a plant, its certain destruction. That enjoins upon a wise man a necessity for circumspection in this regard.
सीसं जहा सरीरस्स, जहा मूलं दुमस्स य । सव्वस्स साधुधम्मस्स, तहा झाणं विधीयते ।।14।।
14. जो स्थान शरीर में मस्तक का है और वृक्ष के लिए जड़ का है वही स्थान समस्त मुनिधर्म के लिए ध्यान का है।
14. As head is vital to human body and root to a tree, so is meditation to a saint.
एवं से सिद्धे बुद्धे विरते विपावे दन्ते दविए अलं ताई णो पुणरवि इच्चत्थं हव्वमागच्छति त्ति बेमि ।
गद्दभीयनामज्झयणं ।
इस प्रकार वह सिद्ध, बुद्ध, विरत, निष्पाप, जितेन्द्रिय, वीतराग एवं पूर्ण त्यागी बनता है और भविष्य में पुनः इस संसार में नहीं आता है।
ऐसा मैं (अर्हत् दगभाल अथवा गर्दभ ऋषि) कहता हूँ ।
This is the means, then, for an aspirant to attain purity, enlightenment, piety, abstinence and non-attachment. Such a being is freed of the chain of reincarnations.
Thus, I Dagbhal, the seer, do pronounce.
दगभाल अथवा गर्दभीय, गर्दभालि नामक बाईसवाँ अध्ययन पूर्ण हुआ । 221
