The Omniscient Lord has expounded that these five kinds of soul-bodies (jivanikaya) - earth-bodied (prthivikayika), etc. - are without mentaltransformations (i.e., without-mind) and one-sensed (ekendriya). EXPLANATORY NOTE Dueto thedestruction-cum-subsidence(ksayopasama) of thesense-oftouch-obscuring karmas (sparsanendriyavarana) and rise of the obscuring karmas of the remaining four senses as well as the mind, these five kinds of soul-bodies (jivanikaya) are endowed with just the organ of the sense-of-touch (sparsana-indriya) and are without-mind. These possess four life-principles (prana) due to: the sense-organ of touch (sparsanendriya-prana), strength-of-body (kayabala-prana), respiration (ucchvasa-nihsvasa-prana) and life-duration (ayuhprana). . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 217
