सर्वदुःखों का अन्त करेंगे?' तब हमारे द्वारा पूछे जाने पर उन्होंने हमें मन से ही इस प्रकार का यह ॥ म उत्तर दिया- 'हे देवानुप्रियो ! मेरे सात सौ शिष्य सिद्ध होंगे, यावत् सर्वदुःखों का अन्त करेंगे। इस
प्रकार मन से पूछे गए प्रश्न का उत्तर श्रमण भगवान महावीर द्वारा मन से ही प्राप्त करके हम अत्यन्त ॐ हृष्ट और सन्तुष्ट हुए यावत् हमारा हृदय उनके प्रति कृतज्ञ हो गया। अतएव हम श्रमण भगवान महावीर
को वन्दन-नमस्कार करके यावत् उनकी पर्युपासना कर रहे हैं। यों कहकर उन देवों ने भगवान गौतम स्वामी को वन्दन-नमस्कार किया और वे दोनों देव जिस दिशा से प्रादुर्भूत हुए थे, उसी दिशा में वापस लौट गए।
[4] On getting this permission from Shraman Bhagavan Mahavir, Bhagavan Gautam paid homage and obeisance to Shraman Bhagavan 4 Mahavir and decided to approach the gods.
When the gods saw Bhagavan Gautam Swami approaching, they were pleased... and so on up to... delighted. They at once got up and ॐ hurried towards Gautam Swami. After paying him homage and obeisance they said-“Bhante ! We, two gods, with great opulence... and so on up to... fortune, from Mahasaaman celestial vehicle in Mahashukra Kalp came here. After that we paid homage and obeisance to Shraman Bhagavan Mahavir and asked in our mind-Bhante ! How many hundred of your disciples will become Siddhas... and so on up to... end all miseries ?' On being asked thus he replied in his mind-0 beloved of gods ! Seven hundred of my disciples will become Siddhas... and so on up to... end all miseries.' Thus on getting answer from Shraman Bhagavan Mahavir in his mind to the question asked by us in our mind we were extremely pleased and contented, and our hearts were filled with gratitude for him. Therefore we paid homage and obeisance to Shraman Bhagavan Mahavir and are doing his worship.” With these words those gods paid homage and obeisance to Bhagavan Gautam Swami and returned in the direction they had appeared from. देवों को 'नो-संयत' कहना CALLING GODS NON-RESTRAINED
२०. [प्र. ] 'भंते !' त्ति भगवं गोयमे समणं जाव एवं वयासी-देवा णं भंते ! 'संजया' त्ति वत्तव्वं सिया ? __ [उ. ] गोयमा ! णो इणढे समढें। अब्भक्खाणमेयं देवाणं।
२१. [प्र. ] देवाणं भंते ! 'असंजता' त्ति वत्तव्वं सिया ? [उ. ] गोयमा ! णो इणठे समझे। णिठुरवयणमेयं देवाणं।
