जाव...पासायवडेंसया । णवरं णाम णाणत्तं । सक्कस्स णं वरुणस्स महारण्णो जाव... चिट्ठति तं जहा -- वरुणकाइयाइ वा वरुणदेवयकाइयाइ वा नागकुमारा नागकुमारीओ उदहिकुमारा उदहिकुमारीओ थणियकुमारा यणियकुमारीओ । जे यावणे तहप्पगारा सव्वे ते तब्भत्तिआ जाव... चिट्ठति ।
Q.148. Bhante! Where is the great vimana named Svayamjvala of Mahārāja Varuṇa, the Lokapāla of Sakra, the Indra of the gods, their king ?
A. 148. Gautama ! To the west of the great vimana named Saud harmāvata msaka, at a distance of an unlimited number of yojanas from Saudharma-kalpa, is located the great vimāna named Svayaṁjvala of Mahārāja Varuna, the Lokapāla of Sakra, the Indra of the gods, their king. Details are similar to those of the great vimana of Mahārāja Soma. And so also about the (entire) vimana, the capital-city,...till the great palace, difference being only in nomenclature.
The following gods take order from,...till obey the direction of, Mahārāja Varuna :
Varuna-kāyika, Varunadeva kāyika, Nāgakumāras, Nāgakumāris, Udadhikumāras, Udadhikumaris, Stanitakumāras, Stanitakumāris, and many others who are devoted to him, who support him, and who are under him,...till take orders from him.
जंबुद्दीवे दीवे मंदरस्स पव्वयस्स दाहिणेणं जाई इमाई समुप्पज्जंति तं जहा -- अइवासाइ वा मंदवासाइ वा सुवुट्ठीइ वा दुवुट्ठीइ वा उदब्भेदाइ वा उदप्पीलाइ बा उव्वाहाइ वा पव्वाहाइ वा गामवाहाइ वा... जाव सणसवाहा वा पाणक्खया जाव... .. तेसिं वा वरुणकाइयाणं देवाणं । सक्कस्स णं देविंदस्स देवरण्णो वरुणस्स महारण्णो जाव... • अहावच्चाऽभिण्णाया होत्या तं जहा - कक्कोडए कद्दमए अंजणे संखवालए पुंडे पलासे मोए जए दहिमुह अपुले कार्यारिए | सक्क्स्स णं देविंदस्स देवरणो वरुणस्स महारण्णो देसूणाई दो पलिओवमाई ठिई पण्णत्ता अहावच्चाभिण्णायाणं देवानं एगं पलिओदमं ठिई पण्णत्ता एमहिड् डीए जाव... वरुणे महाराया ।
