The animals like cows, buffalos, and horses were completed roasted due to fire and from their blood spread over there a foul was emerging everywhere. The dogs, jackals were eating fleshes from thousands of dead bodies of warriors. Dhanadeva was surprised to see all that. Then Devaśarmā who got saved himself in the battle described the whole incident to Dhanadeva. He told that three days before a person came from Siddhapur and asked Pallipati that your father Sumati has sent me to inform you that the king Sugrīva is counting his last days due to being caught by dangerous disease tuberculosis. Surathu Kumāra who is an arrogant and characterless person is making harm to the people. Now you are the fittest one for Rājyalaksmī. Kanakavatī has sent his army to kill you so you have to save yourself. At the same time the army came and occupied all the persons of Bhīla community. Supratiştha was also there. Many people were killed in the battle and we got defeated. The army of enemy set the Palli on fire. In the battle, being wounded I lost my consciousness. Dhanadeva gave water to Devaśarmã and after hearing Navakāra Mantra Devaśarmā breathed his last. Since Supratiștha was not seen anywhere, Dhanadeva thought may be Supratiștha was killed. Dhanadeva returned to Hastinapur. His parents welcomed his wife Śrīkāntā. Śrīkāntā met there with her friend Queen Kamalāvatī. Kamalāvatī was very happy to meet her friend and told Śrīkāntā to visit her daily. Śrīkāntā returned to her home and there she enjoyed her life for several years. Once when she was in sleep with Dhanadeva, saw a dream that the moon is entering in her mouth and she got awakened. It was an auspicious dream as per Dhanaveda, and after appropriate time she gave birth to a son. Here ends the 9
