Sudden Departure of Gurudev Shri Sushil Kumar Ji Maharaj in India
Amrender Muni Ji was feeling well settled and happy doing his work under the wise guidance of his Guru when fate dealt him a severe blow. His beloved Guru, Shri Sushil Kumar Ji Maharaj breathed his last on 22nd April 1994 in India.
Three days before his demise, when there was no reason to think of him departing, Rev Shri Sushil Kumar Ji called Amrender Muni to him and lovingly said : Amrender Muni, I am very happy with your attitude of surrender, humility and your balanced view of life. My blessings are with you. I want to give you some instructions.
Amrender Muni humbly replied: Please tell me whatever you want me to do. I will try and carry out your instructions to the letter.
Rev Shri Sushil Kumar Ji replied: Amrender Muni, you know that in our path our goal is to conquer the self. On this path there will be obstacles as well as favourable circumstances. You will have to learn to be thick skinned and take the rough with the smooth. Just like the dog and the earth.....
The earth is called “sarvamsaha” ie “one who tolerates all”... whether one respects it or plunders it, it tolerates everything. The dog also tolerates both kisses and kicks. In the same way we have to learn to carry on our work in this world no matter what the circumstances. To him who has tolerance, victory is certain.
Actually Rev Shri Sushil Kumar Ji had a premonition of his impending demise and so he conveyed the important aspects of his life's work to Amrender Muni with his blessings.
Shri Sushil Kumar Ji's work continued till the end. Just an hour
