________________ responsibilities handled well, the mind starts becoming steady in its spiritual pursuit, without losing balance, and without wavering. 20. What is the final goal of human beings? Is it moksha? Can we attain that state while still in the human body? The ultimate goal of life is to free oneself in mind, speech, and action, of all negatives. Moksha does not refer to any particular place like “heaven”. According to the tatvarth sutra, to be able to rise above all actions, attachments, attractions or affections is moksha. The state of moksha can be experienced while still in a human body. 21. What is moksha? Can you describe it for us? What is it like? Moksha is as described above. 22. Does even eternal bliss become boring after some time? Eternal bliss is a state beyond any kind of expectations. Boredom or suffocation arise only among the expectations of physical life. Kabir says when the mind is in eternal bliss, what can it speak? Speaking, swaying, happen only outside this bliss. 23. They say that God's grace is flowing all the time but that we have to open our hearts to receive it. What does "opening ones heart” mean? What are the factors that keep our hearts closed? Opening of one's heart means opening of Shiva's third eye, the eye of knowledge i.e. attaining knowledge of the self or aatma-gyan. The seeker with self knowledge experiences the bliss of God's grace in every moment. When attachment, anger, and desires increase, the door of the heart closes shut. 24. Whenever some new projects are started, there is always someone who does not agree with it or want it to happen. When we push ahead with the project, we hurt them in the larger interest of the project. How should we cope with this phenomenon? 218 shantidoot messenger of peace Jain Education International For Private & Personal Use Only www.jainelibrary.org
