The second incident relates to a flowering creeper called Jacquomontia. The creeper has small blue flowers which open only during the day and close at night. In fact I had told my husband several times that it was a real shame that when we had outdoor parties at night our guests could never appreciate the beauty of this creeper because the blue flowers did not bloom at night.
However after Guruji visited us I saw another miracle happen in front of my eyes.
He had left our house and gone to my friend's house in the evening for dinner. I was missing his presence which had seemed to light up the whole house during the day.
Lost in thought I went out into the garden. It was dark by then and I wandered around looking at the plants. When I looked at the Jacquomontia creeper, it took me almost a minute or two to realize what was so strange about it. It was in full bloom at night!
I could not believe my eyes- I shouted out to all my family members to come and see. My husband and maid, Shobha, came running and were amazed at what they saw. In fact the creeper continued to bloom at night for 3 days after Guruji left! Such is the power of his presence!
