Dhania Pani ... (Coriander Water) Vandana Verma Muscat
Guruji burst into our life one early morning in May of 2002 like bright golden sunshine. I still remember him framed against my kitchen door with his flowing beard and golden white locks and face which oozed love and compassion. I truly felt that Lord Jesus was standing in front of me. I was completely spellbound and my overactive tear ducts were at work. Our life has completely changed with the gracious presence of Guruji. One of the experiences that is etched in my mind is the episode of Dhania Pani.
My older daughter and I were leaving with Guruji for Bahrain. The time was evening and we were leaving for the airport in a couple of hours. As is normal, I had a number of chores to complete before we left for the airport and one of them was to boil some coriander water (Dhania Pani). My husband, who was staying behind, likes to have this every morning for medicinal purposes. I put the water to boil with some coriander seeds and left the kitchen to finish off some other work thinking that the water would take some time to boil.
We left for the airport around 8 o'clock or so. We were being driven to the airport by my dear friend, Padmini. On our way it suddenly struck me that the Dhaniya pani was still boiling, and I had completely forgotten to switch the gas off. I was very worried, as there was no one at home to take care of this situation. As we had already left home, turning back would have meant missing the flight. I still remember Guruji was meditating, and Padmini asked him if we should turn back, or continue on towards the airport. Guruji first asked if we had left the gas on, after we said that we had, he thought for a bit and then gave us permission to head to the airport. After Padmini dropped us off, she came back to my home to check if the gas was on, and she surprisingly
