________________ 28. Guruji, what is the point in living, when everything we do just accrues karma? Is there any way out of it? Undertaking every action with discrimination and a sharp intellect, is the straight path to avoid the bonds of karma. 29. Guruji , what makes you happy? I feel happy when I see an individual developing good thoughts and good inclinations. 30. What are miracles and how do they happen? The biggest miracle or truth is doing good to others. I do not give importance to miracles or showing off. Even a magician can perform miracles. A seeker's perceptions should be beyond the glamour of miracles. A sadhak's life itself is a miracle, he does not even realise when miracles start happening around him. 31. All Jains believe in the Namokar Mantra. Certain sects of Jains believe in havans and poojas. For example, Digambar Jains believe in havans and Svetambara Jains do murti pooja (idol worship). 32. Do Jains have any system of Gods like the trinity of Brahma Vishnu and Mahesh in Hinduism or do they just worship tirthankaras? Jains believe there is a God , but God is not the creator. They believe that God is beyond any kind of desire even that of creation. He does not interfere in our development. Each soul is responsible for destroying its own karma and achieving perfection. All souls have 8 karmas. Anyone who destroys these 8 karmas becomes God. When four karmas are destroyed, one becomes an arihanta (self shantidoot | messenger of peace 220 Jain Education International For Private & Personal Use Only www.jainelibrary.org
