Let us desire the ultimate desire.... But before we start this, we must cleanse our basic desires, by non attachment to them. If we remove this layer of dust from our desires, they will become purer and purer. Then the journey that we have started will surely reach to its real goal. The best thing we can do for ourselves is to raise our desire. That desire is the best which does not bring us down.
The king of desires is one which draws us into the depths of our own being.
Non violence has a magical effect:
If someone practises non violence determinedly, then his aura starts to shine. The effect is magical. Even a cruel person who comes in contact with such a being, automatically loses his desire for cruelty.
There is a fine example of this in Mahatma Gandhi. Once when he was returning after addressing a conference in South Africa, a man followed him with a knife in his hand with a view to killing him. But strangely enough, he was not able to raise his hand to strike him and the knife fell uselessly from his hand. He found himself at Gandhiji's feet asking for forgiveness. Such was the power of Gandhiji's aura.
But sadly we find that instead of non violence the governments of many countries are competing with each other to produce the best weapons of mass destruction. However, we should remind ourselves that true peace will only be possible with non violence. We can also put it in this way;
"Sab dharmon ka sab panthon ka dharm ahinsa saccha saar,
Bina ahinsa aur prem ke ho nahin sakta sukh sanchaar,“ "The true essence of all religions and sects is ahinsa- non violence.
Without ahinsa and love, happiness cannot flower.” Religion joins people together and sects divide people. However
