________________ The pooja room should be situated in the Northeast, and water should also be kept in this direction. In your home, the pooja room is considered your temple. However a flag should never be installed over it. A householder should not establish statues of Lord Neminath or Lord Mahavir in the house. Other than these, any other statues can be established, however, care should be taken that these statues should not be touching or leaning against the wall as this is considered inauspicious. You should not keep scissors, knives, etc in the bedroom. Your bedhead should be in the West, so that as soon as you wake up you face East. Old people and middle aged people should keep their bedhead in the East. When you get out of bed, depending on whether the breath is coming through the left or right nostril, the left or right foot should be placed on the floor first. You should make sure that there is no beam located over your bed or over the chair where you sit.
